Infrastructure Investment Fund
An infrastructure investment fund contacted us to teach several Asset Managers and Analysts. After assessing every participant’s German language level, one of our German tutors taught a beginner and intermediate German class at the fund’s London office. The aim was for staff members to communicate with colleagues, investors and partners in infrastructure projects in Germany. The German courses continued for four years whilst the fund held these assets. All participants benefited from speaking German at an intermediate level and having an understanding of the business culture in Germany. Telecommunications Company
A telecommunications company was looking to provide German lessons for their Patent Attorneys who regularly travel to Germany for hearings and appeals at the Munich European Patent Office (EPO). The aim was to provide German language training to achieve a good level of conversational German. We structured the course syllabus to include interesting topics around science and technology. The Attorneys reached an intermediate level of German with weekly lessons combined with regular self-study over several years.
FMCG industry in London
A London-based company approached us after deciding to venture into the German retail market. The aim was to teach German to their Sales Director. It took about twelve months of in-person German lessons to improve his German language skills to a level that allowed him to approach large retail customers in Germany. Besides teaching German, we assisted with the linguistic aspects of his sales pitch to Germany’s second-largest supermarket chain. This involved two months of intensive German language training to ensure fluency, pronunciation, and syntax. We also coached the Sales Director in mastering the question-and-answer session in German that followed his presentation. The feedback we received was very positive, and the pitch delivered in the target customer’s language was a key factor for this company in succeeding with this buyer.
Embassy in London
The First Secretary at an embassy in London was to be redeployed to Berlin. The aim was to teach her German to a conversational level to ease her settlement into life in Germany. Furthermore, she wanted to develop her German speaking and writing skills to communicate effectively with German government representatives and media outlets. Our German tutor developed a bespoke syllabus for the six-month intensive German course, which we provided bi-weekly at the embassy in London. After redeployment, our student hit the ground running in her work at the embassy in Germany.
