Intensive German courses in London

When you need German at short notice, an intensive course, or crash course, is the quickest way to make progress. Each course is planned around a specific goal and towards a deadline, from a presentation next week to a move abroad.

I had to travel to Germany and had not spoken German for many years. Before going, I took a two weeks intensive course with German Language Coach. My spoken German was a big success, and I was very pleased with the result.

How an intensive course works

Lessons take place on consecutive days. Each one introduces new vocabulary and grammar, which you then practise in conversation with your tutor.

We assess your level, agree the objective and set a course plan and timetable that fits your deadline. To assess your level of German beforehand, take this placement test. Role-play and rehearsal prepare you for potential interviews or presentations. Where useful, we work with your own material, such as slides, a job description or meeting agendas.

Who intensive German courses are for

Intensive German courses suit learners with a deadline: a relocation to Germany, Austria or Switzerland, an interview, a presentation, a negotiation or a client meeting.

Intensive German before a move abroad

An intensive course of a few days to several months prepares you for a planned or imminent move to Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna or Zurich.

Lessons cover your first weeks in the new country: registering your address, flat viewings and rental contracts, opening a bank account and choosing health insurance. You also practise introductions, meetings and emails for your new role, small talk with colleagues and neighbours, and when to use Sie or du.

Course formats and duration

A short course prepares you for one event in one or more full days. Lessons take place in person across London, including at our office in the City.
